Spring 2021 Workshop - 2/27 - Refreshing Your Repertoire: Planning Dynamic Zoom Lessons and Navigating Common Challenges

Learners and educators alike may have found themselves able to shift away from survival concerns, such as how to use the basic functions of Zoom, and toward taking full advantage of the opportunities online learning offers. This workshop suggested tools and strategies for ESL instructors looking to freshen their Zoom teaching and troubleshoot persistent challenges. In addition to presenting engaging whole class and group activities that can be modified for a variety of courses, the workshop covered recommendations for before, during, and after breakout rooms. Following this presentation stage of the workshop, attendees had the chance to work in groups to brainstorm ways to apply the content to their own classrooms.
